My Approach

Let’s be honest; there is an ever-expanding sea of nutrition and health misinformation, leaving many confused on what is truly healthy for them. As a registered healthcare processional, I take an evidence-based, client-centered approach, focused on tailoring well-researched best practices to each specific individual.

Education

  • I completed my Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Degree at Acadia University. The focus on my undergraduate thesis was the lived experience of eating & developing an “eating routine” as a young adult.

  • I completed my Master of Science Degree & Dietitian Internship at Mount Saint Vincent University. The focus on my graduate thesis was application of the Social Cognitive Theory for behaviour change in the context of healthy eating patterns of young adults.

Professional registration

  • I am an active member in good-standing with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association (Canada). In order to maintain my membership and ensure my competency as a healthcare professional, I must complete a certain amount of continuing education requirements on an annual basis.

  • I am also an active member in good-standing with the Barbados Paramedical Professions Council.
